Fumé Blanc is a rich style sauvignon blanc with notes of apricot, persimmon and walnuts. There is still plenty of acidity to balance out the more developed fruit flavors. Drink with an Arugula Salad with Pomegranate Seeds, Rosemary Roasted Chicken or Baked Squash.

Robert Mondavi made this style of Sauvignon Blanc famous in the 1990's.  Modeled after the iconic region of Poully Fume in France, the wine spends some time in Oak Barrels to bring out a richness that will be a perfect companion on cool Sacramento nights.
