Marsanne is one of the major white grapes of the Rhone Valley in France.  The most famous wines produced from this grape there are Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage and St. Joseph.  All very low production and very high in price.

 

While we are not claiming to be making Hermitage Blanc, our Marsanne is true to the variety with a clean bright nose of stone fruit.  On the palate is where it gets really exciting as ripe Pear, Honeydew Melon, almond, nougat and a hint of marshmallow explode through the middle.
