Grenache Blanc
Food and warm weather friendly! Had sediment in my bottle which can be off putting (not sure why), but still delicious.
The white mutation of Grenache that originated in Northern Spain, Grenache Blanc (aka Garnacha Blanca) is known to be on the fuller side, but with a “green richness” meaning that it carries higher acid to balance out the aromatic qualities.
On the nose comes a burst of clean, vibrant peach and stone fruit. Almost like someone cut a peach and put it in front of your nose. Very aromatic. The palate confirms the juicy peach, apricot, lemon zest and pear with more acid that you expect. The finish is incredibly long and lush. The perfect winter white white wine that is racey enough to stand up to roast chicken with lemon or non-spicy Indian dishes.
