Barbera
The Barbara was delicious. We have never had your wines before. The wine was full bodied and had very good flavor. We will have it again
Originally from the Piedmonte Region of North Western Italy, Barbera has traveled the world mostly as a blending grape. In Piedmonte, it tends to be grown on the lower slopes where the soils are too rich for the grander Nebbiolo grape.
Our Barbera is sourced from one of the finest sites amongst the rolling hills in Sonoma County. Lighter in style than our other red wines, our Barbera is driven by red fruit flavors of Pomegranate and Red Cherry. Tannin is lighter as well, but the racy acidity on top of a nice mouthfeel from barrel aging holds everything together all the way through the persistent finish.
This is a food wine which compliments everything from hard cheeses and pasta with meat sauce to a fresh summer salad of arugula and strawberries.

I've never had a Barbera until this one, but I'm so glad I tried it! To me, this had a light, crisp taste. It was very delicious.
It may not have won any awards yet, but it will. This Barbara is excellent! I will get one every time I come in for wine!
This may have been the perfect compliment to my ribeye the other night. The dinner was coming along pleasantly when all of a sudden I realized I was missing a key component, an excellent Barbera to pair with it. Luckily, I had a fantastic Acheson Barbera on hand to fix this situation, and it certainly fixed it! I am a fan of all of Acheson’s wines but this might have been the best one yet. I highly recommend getting yourself a bottle as soon as possible and firing up your grill to create a perfect dinner experience for yourself.
